Homemade Pretzels

Here is a yummy recipe we just made. I made these and then put in plastic container over night. If you eat them cold they are a little doughy….just like a breadstick, but if you warm in the oven a little bit, they are delicious.!

Pretzel recipe:
1 T. yeast
1/c warm water
1 t. honey
1 t. sald
1 1/3 cup flour
1 beaten egg for eggwash
Kosher salt
Dissolve yeast and honey in warm water. (let it sit they for about 5 minutes until the yeast starts foaming.) Add salt and then flour. Knead dough. Cover and let rest for 1/2 hour. Cut dough in long pieces. Roll into long shape about 7-9 inches and then form pretzel shape. Brush on eggwash and top with Kosher salt. Let sit a few minutes and then pop on 350 degree oven. Watch oven and take out when nicely browned.
